Dear friends of the gallery,

As part of the exhibition melody / transmitter, we are pleased to present the new series humanoid has escaped (2024/25) by the Austrian artist Gerwald Rockenschaub.

The works in the humanoid has escaped series play with subtle deviations, irritations, memories, recycling, and reappropriation.

New Works

Dear friends of the gallery,

In his fifth solo exhibition at the Vera Munro Gallery, Jānis Avotiņš presents new paintings and sculptures that thematically continue from the Latvian artist’s last exhibition in the spring of 2023.

The works of Avotiņš, as Jens Asthoff writes, are characterized by a distinctive atmosphere, which can be described as timeless, stretched silence. The figures usually remain on the threshold of anonymity, giving the works a subtle timelessness.

The new exhibition once again invites viewers to immerse themselves in Avotiņš’s quiet, profound world of images and figures.
